ANDREW WATT is a soulful singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose high-energy aggressive style and creative spirit are synonymous with New York City.
ANDREW got his start playing in open jams at New York clubs at the age of 17. From there he began building relationships with venue owners who took an interest in the electricity and hunger they saw in him. WATT used these relationships to start booking his own shows. Flash forward 5 years and over 800 performances later and ANDREW WATT has become one of the most exciting performers in the city, generating major buzz.
Over the past several years ANDREW has used his talents as a performer in a range of situations. From playing with The Roots, becoming the first performer to earn a residency at John Varvatos on Bowery (Originally CBGB’s), serving as Lead Guitarist and Musical Director for internationally touring, Interscope artist: Jared Evan, playing his own brand of funky blues infused rock and roll with his solo project, and in his free time taking over the club scene as one half of the House & Blues project: PINK CASHMERE, which sees WATT laying down slaying guitar riffs over the house beats of DJ TANNER.
In 2012 he released The Mulberry Tree EP which was co-produced with Joe Baldacci, under the guidance of veteran Engineer/Producer Jimmy Douglass. It combines his range of musical styles into a cohesive and exciting new sound. WATT is currently on tour serving as lead guitarist for Atlantic's Cody Simpson and has been compiling new songs for another release expected early in 2013.
